Premier Beehive employs over 150 staff, 120 of which are busy crafting bacons and deli meats in our Carterton factory in the heart of the Wairarapa, just north of Wellington.
We have always prided ourselves on combining the talent of our truly skilled and dedicated team with the best available meat cuts, ingredients and processing technology.
Over the last few years we have continued to innovate and improve our systems with the latest technologies brought over from Europe. This means we have been able to offer our loyal Beehive customers new and exciting products across the range while reducing our environmental footprint through a reduction in waste and improving product quality.
Leading the way in portion controlled snap packs, we are proud to combine the leading packaging technology with our time-tested methods to create New Zealand's most flavoursome meats - allowing us to deliver the freshest and most delicious products to the market.
We are extremely focused on hand picking only the finest meats to create our mouth watering products. Our honey is sourced from the Canterbury region where White Clover is the predominant flower across the rural pastureland. New Zealand White Clover is world renowned for its purity, low moisture content and mild delicate taste. Our meat is smoked the old fashioned way using natural wood and we believe that our traditional techniques create a superior flavour. The Pioneering methods are continued by our hard working and passionate employees - this is Beehive's heritage.
